When Women Gather....Mountains Move

Dear Wonderful Women Who Gather,

On Saturday, November 11, women from across Southern California will gather at Soka University for the Southern California Regional Gather the Women Congress. We hope you are planning to join us for a day of conversation and connections. Registration details  and online registration are available on this page.

We are not just gathering the women.

We are also gathering women’s organizations

We invite you to extend this invitation to any women's organization with which you are connected. Our intention is to provide a wide range of resources to attendees of the Congress AND to provide many benefits to the organizations participating:

  • All organizations will be invited to present a one-minute  ‘infomercial’ about the goals and projects before the entire attendance.
  • A description of the organization and complete contact information published in the day’s program.
  • Each organization will be given space at our resource tables to set up a display board describing your on-going work, including  space for handouts and flyers of upcoming events.
  • All organizations website links will be listed on the Gather the Women Southern California website as a participating sponsor in the Southern California Congress

To register an organization or for more information, please contact:

Harriet Adams:  949-454-1349   or  harrietadams@cox.net

A WALK FOR HOPE  &  AUTUMN EQUINOX  -

El Dorado Park

7550 East Spring Street, Long Beach

9:00  a.m.  -  1: 00  p.m.

Be The Cause, an Orange County Non-Profit, is sponsoring their annual 5 kilometer walk.  .  What is special about this event is the opportunity for GTW to directly benefit from the fund-raising aspect. Just like many Charity Walks participants are asked to get sponsors to support their cause. The unique and wonderful twist with this event is each walker gets to choose their receiving organization.

Along the entire 5 kilometer (3miles) walk route are hundreds of inspiring quotes and interactive activity stations. These activities include learning about global issues, expressing creativity, and connecting with others.

What's more is that it is entirely free with free snacks, free T-shirt, and live entertainment.
We invite you to participate by walking yourself and gathering your own sponsors or sponsoring a woman who is walking for GTW!               REGISTER
